A terraced plot in the first expansion of Falset serves as the basis for a young developer’s new home. The plot has a 0.95m difference in elevation between the building’s entrance level and the garden level at the rear of the plot, a feature utilized to configure the new layout.
The design features an open-plan ground floor, shifting the elevation change to the back of the plot to accommodate the living room with garden access, while ensuring accessibility at the front of the house. The first floor includes a double-height space above the living room to provide greater clear height, with the client’s main private quarters located in the remaining area. The attic floor is used for guests and domestic services.
A wooden fixture runs vertically through the building, incorporating a fireplace that extends to the roof, while also serving as built-in wardrobes. The rest of the materials and colours are unified, using grey for the floors and white for the ceilings and walls. This scheme aims to achieve good interior lighting and offer a neutral backdrop for the client’s future furniture choices.
