An abandoned residential building with a bakery on the ground floor is the starting point of this comprenhensive rehabilitation, renovation and conversion into an aparthotel with music bar and restaurant, commissioned by a group of young owners.
The project organizes two distinct programs: the restaurant and bar on the ground floor, and the aparthotel on the upper levels. Both functions share daytime breakfast and lunch services for residents, but remain acoustically isolated during night activities.
Ground floor spaces house a street-facing reception and the music bar-restaurant behind the central staircase, which opens onto a large terrace overlooking the exterior vegetation. The standard levels feature a central stairwell that allows the configuration of two rooms and two small apartments per floor.
The architectural proposal exposes original heritage features, including stone walls and wooden beams on the street facade. In contrast, new technical walls completely enclose the ground-floor venue for absolute soundproofing. Driven by sustainability and material reuse, original doors and beams were repurposed into custom furniture, preserving the building’s historic identity within the new structure.
