This residential architecture project responds to a compact footprint and a prominent corner plot open to the landscape. To optimize the limited interior space, the design prioritizes a logical, efficient layout. An external staircase preserves the internal floor area of the apartments. This discreet structural element marks the main entrance without altering the building’s primary volume.

Inside the dwellings, the central placement of the wet zones frees up the perimeter walls. This layout maximizes natural light and opens up panoramic views for the main living areas. Large corner openings and attic windows visually expand the compact interior layout, framing the natural landscape as a continuous backdrop.

Finally, the project incorporates traditional local materials. Choosing these vernacular materials optimizes construction costs while seamlessly integrating the new building into its natural surroundings.

Finalist work of the V Architecture Biennale of Tarragona.
